‘Pity Pity’ is Splitting Edge's first collaborative release with the soulful and sweet voice of ‘Oriana Robos’. This new anthem is teeming with soul, energy and attitude. With indie-rock and pop influences, punchy drums and soulful vocals, Splitting Edges bring to you the sound of the summer.
With Lydon and Oriana often playing the same gigs in the band circuit in their early teenage years the two have finally come together years later and created ‘Pity Pity’. The song was initially written by Lydon about his time at college where he met his drummer, Brad, and the journey the two were on during those years, but after inviting Oriana to a studio session and playing her the track, Oriana immediately came up with beautiful harmonies and melodies - we all knew that she had to be on the song.
This release comes off the back of their successful single ’So Good’, and a slew of sold-out shows earlier this year, headlining the legendary O2 Islington and playing venues such as Paper Dress Vintage, Camden Assembly and Brixton Jam as well as starting to make their mark on the Brighton scene at venues such as The Hope and Ruin, The Folklore Rooms and The Prince Albert.
